BRO!!! KYA KHAEGA???? If you kick off any party or gathering with this iconic line like many of us do, then this game is tailor-made for you!

FOOD!! We all adore it, don’t we? So when I was brainstorming for a game, my first thought was, why is it that we have money-based games, castles, lands, and monsters, but not an engaging food-themed game? That’s when the idea for Spice 'n Dice was born!

The Board and Gameplay

This game is designed for 2 to 6 players, perfect for anyone aged 12 and up, and it can be played anytime, anywhere. Each set of cards and tokens comes neatly packed in its own box, making it super easy to manage. Now, let’s dive into what makes this game so fantastic!

Red Tiles: Collect Ingredients

At the start, every player chooses a recipe card and races to gather ingredients for their dish. But there’s a twist; many recipes share the same ingredients, so you’ll need strategy and a bit of luck to complete yours before anyone else!

Players progress through each tile in turn, unless they encounter a challenge that either blocks their way or lets them skip ahead. Landing on a stockhouse tile allows a player to restock their ingredients, but supplies are limited and may run out once one or more players have gathered what they need.

When landing on a spin-the-wheel tile, players get to turn the wheel on the board, gaining random perks or advantages. Every time a player acquires an ingredient, they receive a token representing that ingredient's specific weight, which they may gain or lose as the game progresses.

If any player finds themselves short on ingredients near the end, they can either choose to quit and forfeit the game or return to the respective stockhouse tile to gather what they need and start again. The first player to make it to the cooking station with a full set of ingredients claims victory!

Recipe cards are essential to gameplay, setting the stage for each player’s culinary journey. At the start, players pick a recipe card at random, then compete to gather everything needed to complete their chosen dish.

Ingredient Tokens

Ingredient tokens play a key role in the game, helping players track their gathered ingredients at a glance. Each token is color-coded, displaying an illustration of the ingredient on one side and its specific weight on the other.

Trading ingredients with other players is easy with these tokens, adding a seamless and interactive element to the game. The game features tokens for eight distinct ingredients spanning all recipes, each subdivided by weight categories. For instance, Spices tokens come in weight options of 12g, 5g, and 3g—making ingredient collection and strategy all the more exciting!

Each ingredient will have three tokens for every weight denomination. For example, Spices will feature three tokens of 12 grams, three tokens of 5 grams, and three tokens of 3 grams. This consistent approach applies to all ingredients, ensuring that players have ample options to collect and trade their desired weights effectively throughout the game.

Challenge Cards

Challenge cards are what truly elevate the excitement of this game! There are a total of 10 cards for players to draw when they land on a challenge tile, adding an element of surprise and strategy.

These challenge cards come in three distinct types:

Red cards: Ingredient losing cards
Pink cards: Ingredient trading cards
Purple cards: Ingredients bonus cards

Each challenge card features an engaging illustration related to the challenge, along with clear instructions on what the player must do, topped off with a catchy heading.

Food Illustrations

Pegs and Dice

Since the game is for 2-6 players, there are total 6 pegs to play with. They are all shaped in a chef hat shape. The top is not so broad that ensures they won't bump into one another during play.

As for the gameplay, it utilizes a standard six-sided dice.
